CONTEST INFORMATION
Students participate in several areas of competition:
1. Listening Comprehension
2. Grammar
3. Writing
4. Speaking
The five categories are:
1. Beginner (First year of Spanish, usually LWSBD/BO)
2. Intermediate (Second year of Spanish, usually LWSCU/CO)
3. Advanced (Third year of Spanish, usually LWSDU/DO)
4. Native Speaker (must be enrolled in a LWS or LWE level class)
5. Spanish Plus (additional exposure to the Spanish language outside of day school classes; includes students in I.B. and A.P. Spanish programs, and international exchange/study participants)

Place: Glendon College, 2275 Bayview Avenue, Toronto
Registration: 8:00-8:30 A.M.
Contest: Full schedule to follow.
Students will enjoy a full day of competition and exciting cultural
activities.
Number of Participants: Each
school may enter a maximum of four (4) students.
Teacher: A teacher of Spanish
must accompany each group of students to assist with the testing
and marking.
Fees: $45 per student, a maximum
of 4 students.
Payment: Cheques should be made payable to North Toronto C.I., RE: Spanish Contest. Note that they need to be sent to the Contest Coordinator at Harbord C.I. (286 Harbord St., Toronto, M6G 1G5).
Materials: Students should
bring a pen or pencil. NO DICTIONARIES ALLOWED.
Lunch: Breakfast and lunch will be provided
for all participants and one accompanying teacher.
Applications: Open as of February 1, 2012.
